Nursing Unit Director - Oncology Program | Sinai Health System | Chicago, IL Read On For nearly 90 years, the hospitals, physicians and staff of Sinai Health System (SHS) have provided medical care to Chicago's neediest communities. Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH), the largest entity of the SHS, is currently seeking a unit director to lead the 40-bed adult inpatient oncology unit, the brand new state-of-the-art 9-bed/chair adult outpatient infusion center and the hematology/oncology clinic. The incumbent will participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the oncology program maintains, develops and implements cutting-edge services, thereby providing optimum customer-service practices and the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience providing for the day-to-day operations of an oncology center with a minimum of 10 years' adult oncology clinical background and progressive management experience at the director level. Organization and team-building skills are a must. Strong financial management skills are required, as is a demonstrated achievement in creating, implementing and communicating a vision of leadership and strategic planning to patients, staff, colleagues and physicians. Strong communication skills and a successful record of improving operational efficiency are mandatory. Bachelor's degree and chemotherapy certification are required. A Master's degree and ONC certification are strongly preferred.
